Sporting a new haircut and new theme song, Bayley stormed onto the stage of WrestleMania 40 ready to take care of business and win the WWE Women’s Title. “Hey, Belle! Ooh! Ahh!” She was able to capture her fourth World Championship by defeating IYO SKY after an elbow drop that would make “Macho Man” Randy Savage proud and possibly make Rose Plante the best looking Rose Plant of all time.

At the beginning of the match, Bayley was helping her right knee, but got messed up after a dive to the outside, and SKY took advantage of this and used her leg throughout the match. Strangely, SKY’s Damage CTRL partner only accompanied him on the WrestleMania stage, not to the ring, nor did they reappear at any point; Perhaps it was a choice he would regret as his title reign is now a thing of the past.

After a series of different types of suplexes from Bayley, SKY locked in the crossface several times, but the challenger was able to avoid tapping out. Bayley then attempted a Rose Plant, to which SKY countered skillfully by rolling into the corner, but Bayley was able to gain the upper hand with a monstrous clothesline. From there, she climbed the ropes and delivered a Savage-esque elbow, following which Rose Plant secured the victory and became the new WWE Women’s Champion as Philadelphia erupted around her.
