President Joe Biden visited Phoenix’s former El Portal Mexican restaurant on Tuesday, March 19. He was in Arizona for an early afternoon campaign event to kick off a new campaign initiative called Latinos with Biden-Harriswhose goal is to “engage and mobilize Latino voters, communities and leaders across the country,” his re-election campaign said.

Biden noted that Latinos make up approximately a quarter of Arizona voters.

“Anyone who doesn’t pay attention to them is really stupid,” Biden told an audience of about 75 supporters at El Portal, a Mexican restaurant operated by veteran Democrats and community leaders Mary Rose and Earl Wilcox. She spoke for about 12 minutes, discussing Trump’s tax cuts and his own “lower middle class” background.

Your choice of location was correct. Katie Hobbs, the Representative Rubén Gallego, former representative of the United States House of Representatives. Leader Nancy Pelosi and former US Senator Dennis DeConcini.
