Britney Spears says she’s written ‘more than 20 songs’ for others

Britney Spears says she doesn’t believe recent reports that she’s working on a new album.

The singer denied she was back in the studio on Wednesday on her verified Instagram account, writing in the caption next to a famous painting of Salome, “Just so we’re clear, most of the news is bullshit!”

The caption reads, “They keep saying I’m turning to random people to make a new album… I’ll never return to the music industry!” “When I write, I write for fun or for other people!”

Spears’ last full album was “Glory” in 2016. It was his ninth studio album. Since then, he has recorded occasional singles, including 2022’s “Hold Me Closer” with Elton John and last year’s “Mind Your Business” with

But according to her post this week, even though she’s released little material recently, Spears has ventured into the business privately as a “ghostwriter.”

“I have written more than 20 songs for other people in the last two years,” he wrote. “I’m a ghostwriter and I honestly enjoy it that way!”

She also wrote that it was “far from the truth” that her 2023 biography “The Woman in Me” was released illegally without her approval.
