She has served the time – now she is serving the show.
A week after being released from prison for the murder of her mom Dee-Dee, Gypsy Rose Blanchard made her red carpet debut in New York City on Friday night.
The 32-year-old recently released convict showed off her fashion credentials in a low-cut black minidress as she posed with social media celebs at the premiere of her new Lifetime show, “The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.”
The documentary is based on the horrific 2015 murder of Dee-Dee, who was stabbed to death by Blanchard’s then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn. Blanchard pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2016, saying she was a victim of Munchausen by proxy at the hands of her mother.
The bubbly brunette has become an unexpected sensation on social media after being released from jail on December 28, with over 6 million followers on Instagram and 7 million followers on TikTok.
The former jailbird could become a millionaire in a matter of months, with experts saying she could earn up to $100,000 per Instagram post, proving crime pays.
During a red carpet appearance on Friday night, Blanchard commiserated with her husband Ryan Anderson, who initially wrote to her in prison after hearing her harrowing story.
The pair began emailing frequently, with their relationship becoming increasingly romantic. Both of them got married in the jailhouse in July 2022.
Earlier this week, Blanchard made headlines after boasting about her sex life with Anderson after being released on parole.
Anderson faced negative comments from social media followers, prompting Blanchard to retaliate.
“Ryan, don’t listen to the haters,” Gypsy wrote on Instagram on January 2, beneath a November selfie of Ryan’s. “I love you and you love me. We don’t owe anyone anything. Our family is all that matters. If you get likes and nice comments that’s great, if you get hate that’s nothing because they Doesn’t matter. I love you.”
Blanchard concluded with a few choice words alluding to the couple’s sex life.
“Plus they’re jealous because you’re rocking my world every night…yeah, I said it, D Agni happy wife happy life,” he said sarcastically.
Earlier on Friday, Blanchard was seen making the media rounds in New York City.
The Louisiana-based criminal appeared on “The View” to discuss his mother’s murder and his hopes for the future.
She also appeared in an interview with “Good Morning America”, where she revealed that she did not want to kill her mother, but thought it was the “only way out” of her situation.
