A somewhat subjective rating of the time of day, on a scale of 0 to 10.

4/10: Cool temperatures aren’t so bad. Although the wind is not very good.

  • Today: Partly to mostly cloudy. Gusty. Highs: Lows in the mid-60s.
  • Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy. Late shower. Lows: between 40 and close to 50.
  • Tomorrow: Partly to mostly sunny. Windy. Highs: Near 60s to low 60s.

It’s a great time of year for wind, as the jet stream regularly gets involved with our weather. With a coastal storm blowing to our northeast and then slowing down, the next two days will have plenty of wind blowing through here. It could be the kind of moment when walking on the sunny side of the street makes a real difference. Try it, if you can.

Today Saturday): A mix of sun and clouds today. It could be that they are thickest at midday and in the afternoon, when the sun is strongest, and then clear up a little later. West and northwest winds blow up to 20 to 25 mph sustained at their peak, with gusts between 35 and 40 mph a good bet. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: After a relatively clear afternoon, it will become cloudier towards the evening as a low humidity weather disturbance approaches. It could still bring some showers overnight into dawn. Winds are considerably weaker in the evening, but still blow between 5 and 10 mph at night. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow Sunday): Lingering clouds or showers are possible early. Otherwise we should see plenty of sun during the day. Winds are perhaps a little less bothersome than today, with gusts regularly near or above 30 mph. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: The skies are mainly starry at night as the winds calm down. Lows should end up in the 30s and 40s in most spots, maybe a few in the mid-30s to the north and west. Confidence: Medium

The winds die down Monday and the skies should tend toward the clear side. It’s still a little colder than average, with highs in the low to mid 60s. Another cold night, as the minimums range between 30 and 40 degrees. Confidence: Medium

The sun reigns again Tuesday. With light winds and plenty of sunshine, highs around 70 feel pretty good. Confidence: Medium
