Dosanjh, 40, is a big star among fans in India and across the world.

This is not the first time that he is pairing up with a western star in Punjabi. Last year, she dropped a song titled Hus Hus, on which she collaborated with Cheap Thrills singer Sia.

Fans praised Dosanjh for getting another big name to sing in an Indian language.

One wrote on Instagram, “First Siya, now Ed, Diljit will force everyone to sing in Punjabi.”

Another wrote, “Salute to Diljit.” “This guy has really blown up the Punjabi music scene, making other artists [sing] In Punjabi.”

Sheeran released his latest album Autumn Variations last September.

Their Mumbai concert was part of their Asia and Europe tour.
