(WGHP) – Richard SimmonsThe 75-year-old fitness guru shared a post on social media on Monday saying he was “dying” and urged his followers to “hug the people and kids you really care about.”

“Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to enjoy life to the fullest every day,” Simmons said. “Get up in the morning and look at the sky… count your blessings and enjoy.”

Simmons has not provided any follow-up statement clarifying whether he was alluding to a health condition or attempting to motivate his followers with his post.

Complete details are given below:

I have some news to tell you. Please don’t be sad. I am dying. Oh, I can see your faces now. The truth is that we are all dying. Every day we are living, we are getting closer to our death.

Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to enjoy your life to the fullest every day. Wake up in the morning and look at the sky… count your blessings and enjoy.

Start with a healthy breakfast. Do you like oatmeal… whole wheat toast… eggs once or twice a week fresh fruit or half of an English muffin?

Then there is lunch. How about a nice salad? Don’t eat dinner too late. Combine your protein with a starch and some vegetables. And of course, occasionally, have sweets. One day of healthy eating will lead to the next…and the next.

Every day that you are alive you have to move forward. Whether you’re standing or sitting, you need to move your body every day. Start with stretching, then cardio and strength.

I have a lot of workout videos on YouTube that you can use. Or maybe you have some videos at home. And do some stretching before going to bed. Stretch your neck. Don’t forget your shoulders… and your arms… and your legs. Make some circles with your heels. Bend and cross your legs and I promise you’ll sleep better at night.

There is something else very important that you must do. Tell those you love that you love them. Hug the people and children you really care about. A big hug really goes a long way.

If you have time, I want you to listen to a great song. It’s called Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw. Live today and don’t forget to pray.

Richard Simmons
