LSU star forward Angel Reese announced Wednesday she is declaring for the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Reese would enter the pros as one of the biggest names in the game. He rose to national prominence last year after leading LSU to the program’s first national title, which the Tigers took to the Elite Eight this season.

“I did everything I wanted to do in college,” Reese told Vogue about her decision. “I’ve won a national championship, I’ve got [Southeastern Conference] Player of the Year, I’ve been All-American. My ultimate goal is to become a professional – and become one of the greatest basketball players of all time. “I think I’m ready.”

The 6-foot-3 Reese was recently named SEC Player of the Year and was a unanimous first-team All-American last season.

Reese is expected to be a first-round pick, projected to be the No. 7 overall pick by the Minnesota Lynx in ESPN’s latest mock draft.
