Michael Bolton revealed that he was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and will be taking a break from touring to recover from surgery.
The Grammy-winning singer shared on social media on Friday, “I want to start off by wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! I also want to share that 2023 brought some very unexpected challenges for me. Just before the holidays, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery. Bolton said he would take a “temporary break” from touring to focus his “time and energy” on recovering for the next few months.

Bolton did not say how long he expected to take a break from performing, although he had several upcoming shows scheduled across the US before heading to Europe in the spring.
