Outdoor Voices to close Denver store as retailer goes online

DENVER – Austin, Texas-based athleisure outfitter Outdoor Voices Inc. will close all of its stores on March 17, an employee at a Texas store confirmed.

The company opened a 2,000-square-foot location at 2609 Walnut St. in Denver’s River North Art District in 2021, joining several other activewear brands in the area. Nearby businesses in Denver include Arc’teryx and Patagonia.

Customers flocked to the retailer’s South Congress store in Austin on March 13, where items were discounted by 50%. A New York Times report points to executive turnover and declining valuations in recent years.
