Philadelphia Police Arrest Five People in Eid Shooting

STORY: Addressing the media, Commissioner Bethel said four people arrested were carrying weapons and police shot one of them, hitting him in the shoulder and leg.

Bethel said approximately 30 shots were fired and that a 22-year-old and a 15-year-old, who were attacked by police, were in stable condition.

During the police response to the shooting, a patrol car hit and punched a young child who suffered a broken leg, Bethel said.

The Commissioner said that an upcoming investigation would examine the reasons for the conflict that occurred during the Eid al-Fitr public gathering.
