She swears it’s not so bad blood between them.

Reba McEntire denied allegations that she called Taylor Swift an “entitled brat” after the country singer performed the national anthem at the 2024 Super Bowl.

“Please don’t believe everything you see on the internet,” McEntire, 68, wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday. “I did not say this. Taylor is an amazing artist, strong role model and has done a lot of good for many people and the music industry.

McEntire’s response comes after a Facebook group called America Loves Liberty claimed McEntire was “disappointed” with the way the “Bejeweled” singer acted during her performance.

“Reba McEntire explains how disappointed she was to see Taylor Swift laughing, drinking, and mocking the show on the big screen while performing the national anthem,” the post read, before claiming McEntire replied: “I told her after. Let me have it. She’s an entitled little girl.”

Swift was actually in high spirits during the game. As McEntire sang, she was seen standing with best friend Blake Lively with her hand over her heart.

Swift was on hand to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who ultimately defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25–22.

“Reba McEntire explains how disappointed she was when she looked at the big screen while singing the national anthem, but saw Taylor Swift laughing, drinking and mocking the show,” read the post, before claiming “I am a The “Survivor” singer replied, “I let him do that later.” She’s an entitled little girl.”

One Facebook user commented on the allegation, “It’s ridiculous how many people blindly believe a meme.” “Especially one that makes fun of their preconceived notions.”

“They wrote your name as McIntyre. Such a fabricated story and a lazy proofreader,” another person quipped on Instagram.

“As soon as I saw this stupid story I knew it was a lie,” a third fan declared, adding, “@reba leads the industry with class, she would never do anything like that.” People need to get a life.

The controversial group responded to the comments.

“Oh my god. Reba McEntire responded to our bullshit herself,” he wrote in a comment on Sunday, saying the post was meant to be sarcastic. “Thank you lady. We like your work. This article is as stupid as the title for some reason.

“This shouldn’t be credible,” the comment continued. “Our fans were solidly on your side long before this post.”

McEntire has always spoken fondly of Swift. Even before the big soccer game, he joked about the “All Too Well” singer’s relationship in an interview with Today.

McEntire joked, “Oh my God, I’m so mad at him because I had a crush on him.” “I can’t have a crush on him anymore because he’s dating her.”

Despite the playful flirting, McEntire is quite content with her relationship with her longtime boyfriend Rex Lynn.
