Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum rock the trailer of ‘Fly Me to the Moon’

Apple Original Films and Sony aren’t at CinemaCon this year, but they have released a trailer online earlier this week, keeping the story of the space race film directed by Greg Berlanti under wraps. Fly me to the moon, Starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum.

The film is based on two-time Oscar nominee Johansson’s role as marketing specialist Kelly Jones, who is brought in to promote NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing. Channing Tatum’s interoffice romance shenanigans take off with launch director Cole Davis. Raising the stakes: Jones is tasked with staging a fake moon landing as back-up as the countdown begins.

“I know more about the Moon than you know about you,” Cole said, pointing the inspiration point to Kelly.

However, it looks like Cole has a big problem staging the moon landing.

Sony wins Apple’s distribution rights Fly me to the moon and Jon Watts’s George Clooney-Brad Pitt noir wolves after his release Napoleon. Fly me to the moon will be released in theaters on July 12, becoming the fourth Apple Original Films title to receive a wide global release Killers of the Flower Moon, Napoleon And Argyll.

Rose Gilroy wrote the screenplay based on a story by Bill Kirstein and Keenan Flynn. Producers are Johansson, Jonathan Lea, Keenan Flynn and Sarah Schechter. Robert J. Dohrman is the EP. Fly me to the moon It also stars Ray Romano and Woody Harrelson, along with Nick Dillenberg, Anna Garcia, Jim Rash, Noah Robbins, Colin Woodell, Christian Zuber and Donald Ellis Watkins.

Today is International Day at CinemaCon. The big studio panel begins tomorrow with Sony’s Crunchyroll alongside Warner Bros. Tonight, Universal is showcasing its Summer Season Kickoff titles Fall guy The Exhibition starring Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling.
