NEW PRARIE, Ind. — A 14-year-old boy died after hitting an object at high speed while driving an all-terrain vehicle Saturday afternoon in LaPorte County, according to conservation officials.
The accident occurred around 4:30 pm in the 3900 block of North County Road 350 East in New Prarie.
According to Indiana conservation officials, the teen was driving a four-wheeled vehicle on private property when he crashed into something.
The teen was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, conservation officials said.
The LaPorte County Coroner’s Office has not identified the teen.
The accident is still under investigation.
