No game carries a more obvious outcome than the Houston Texans’ matchup with the Indianapolis Colts in NFL Week 18.

Winner makes playoff. The losing season is over.

Both teams’ records are currently 9-7, two thirds of the way in a three-way AFC South tie with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars can clinch the division with a win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, otherwise the winner of the Texans-Colts will take the division.

The Texans enter the game as slight favorites, mostly thanks to the presence of rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, who is currently the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year favorite. The 2023 No. 2 overall pick looked great all season, but missed two games last month due to injury.

The Colts were believed to have their own rookie quarterback moving forward with the fourth overall pick, Anthony Richardson, but he has been out since October. Gardner Minshew has led the team since then, winning six of its last eight games.

  • Even if they make it, it’s too bad for the Steelers.

  • Then, the Steelers now need one of the following:

    • bill loss

    • Jaguar Necklace/Tie

    • colts–texans tie

Their best shot among them will probably be the Jaguars, who play on the road against the Titans tomorrow. The Bills are picked against a blowout Dolphins team.

  • The Steelers recovered the kick and would do so. The Steelers won 17–10 in a rain-soaked slugfest.

The Ravens would finish the season 13–4, the Steelers 10–7. Now they have about three games to see if their season will continue.

  • Justin Tucker made his 29th consecutive field goal against the Steelers, this time from 36 yards.

17-10 Steelers. We will now move to an onside kick with 16 seconds remaining.

  • Huntley was sacked on third and five. It should be pretty much the same, although the Ravens are now going for a field goal, which the Steelers conceded. 19 seconds left.

  • Worth noting that the Ravens had no timeouts left. A lot of them are being dealt with within the border.

  • Huntley tried to convert a fourth-and-1 at the two-minute warning. The Ravens have it at the Pittsburgh 36 and they still need a lot of things to go their way.

  • At least the Ravens are moving the ball.

  • Assuming the Steelers hold up, they would only need one of a Bills loss, Jaguars loss or a Colts/Texans tie to reach the playoffs. However, TJ Watt’s health is still at risk.

  • The Steelers are stopped at the goal line but kick a field goal to go up 17–7 with 3:11 remaining. The Ravens now need two scores as well as an onside kick. Given how little the game means to them, they may not put in much effort.

  • Najee Harris had 102 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries today. The most important weapon when neither team can pass as they want.

  • business

Gus Edwards fumbled while running up the middle and it would be the Steelers’ ball with 7:14 to play. There were eight fumbles in this rainy game: six by the Steelers, two by the Ravens. Both of them have turned it twice.

  • The Ravens would get the ball back after the Steelers had three punts. Big, big drives coming into the game that don’t matter to them.

  • Hoo boy, Jaylen Warren gets caught up the middle and then fumbles, but the Steelers recover. The Ravens indicated they had it.

  • Broadcast Notes The Steelers have won 17 consecutive games after holding a lead in the fourth quarter. They are currently in a solid position to keep it going with less than 10 minutes left.
