The bar where Riley Strain disappeared shares new information

The now-missing 22-year-old Mizzou student was only served one alcoholic beverage and two glasses of water before bar security escorted him out.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The bar where Riley Strain was last seen issued a statement explaining the events that led to Strain being asked to leave the bar.

Luke’s 32 Bridge Bar, owned by country music star Luke Bryan, posted a announced on Instagram on Friday. Bar staff and investigators reportedly reviewed security footage, cellphone photos and transaction records to piece together a timeline of Strain’s time at the bar.

“Our records show that (Strain) purchased and was served one alcoholic beverage and two waters,” the bar’s statement said. “At 9:35 p.m., our security team made the decision, based on our standards of conduct, to escort him from the venue to the Broadway exit at the front of our building.”

Strain was allegedly followed down the stairs of the bar with a member of his group, but the unnamed individual did not exit with Strain and instead went back up the stairs after Strain left.

“Our prayers continue to be with Riley’s friends and family during this difficult time and for his safe return,” the statement said.

Bryan shared a message to Instagram on Wednesday who also shared his hopes that the student would return safely and that the bar association would comply with the investigation.

Strain is described as a 6-foot-5-inch man weighing about 160 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a black and white button-down shirt with blue jeans and brown boots, the family posted online.
